Troubleshooting

A game tile says "Bandwidth sharing is off"

Bandwidth sharing is not running. Press Turn sharing on in Settings. See How CardTray is funded.

"Couldn't start the game"

If the message mentions sharing, turn bandwidth sharing back on. Otherwise press Try again; if it keeps failing, use Feedback and include the message.

The Daily Challenge says it will unlock later

The first Daily Challenge unlocks when games are verified. Daily deals come only from fully verified games, and none has finished verification yet. Every game in the library is playable in the meantime. See Daily Challenge.

A replay or a saved game is Locked

It was played under an earlier version of that game's rules. Its moves can't be replayed or continued, but Try this deal again deals the same cards. See Locked replays.

"This game couldn't be verified"

When a finished game is re-checked from its saved moves and the result does not match, it does not count toward your records. It is rare. If it happens repeatedly on one game — especially a Beta one — use Report a problem in the pause menu, with the seed it shows. See What counts.

A game seems to play by the wrong rules

On a Beta game, use Report a problem in the pause menu. It shows the variant, rules revision and seed — paste those into your report so we can deal the exact same cards.

Starting a new deal ended my other game

Only one game of each variant can be in progress. CardTray always asks Abandon the current game? before ending one — Continue that game keeps it. A game with no moves is discarded without asking.

There is no sound

Check Sound effects and the volume slider in the pause menu (or Settings → Utilities → Game Gallery). Ambience needs a theme deck — the Original deck has none. See Themes.

The solver says Unknown

Large deals often can't be settled. It is not a sign the game can't be won. See Solvers.

I want to remove CardTray entirely

Uninstall it from Windows' Add or remove programs — that also removes the Massive agent and ends bandwidth sharing. See Uninstalling.
