Continue Game
Continue Game is your complete game history: every game you have played, in progress or finished. From here you can watch any of them back, pick one up from any point, or deal the same cards again.
To simply carry on a game you left, use its Continue button in the Game Gallery or Continue last game in the tray menu. Clicking an in-progress game here opens its replay rather than the live game.
Finding a game
The filters along the top narrow the list:
- Game — All games, or one variant you have played.
- Result — Any result, Won, Lost, Abandoned or In progress.
- From and To — a date range.
- Daily challenges only
Clear filters resets them. The table shows Played, Game, Result, Score, Time, Moves, Tags and Replay. Tags mark Daily games (or Daily practice) and Assisted games.
Watching a replay
Click a game to watch it back on the table, move by move.
- Previous move, Play / Pause, Next move.
- Speed: 0.5×, 1×, 2×, 4× or 8×. Playback follows the rhythm the game was actually played at, with long pauses shortened.
- The slider jumps anywhere in the game. Small marks on it show where you pressed undo or redo.
- Move N / M shows where you are.
Keys: Space plays or pauses, ← and → step one move, and Esc pauses (or, when already
paused, leaves the replay). A game that was itself resumed from a replay is labelled
Branched.
Picking up from any point
- Resume from here starts a new game from the position on screen, with every move up to it already made. It is an assisted game: it counts for games played and won, never for personal bests, streaks or achievements. If you already have a game of that variant in progress, CardTray asks first — Abandon it and resume from here, Continue that game instead, or Back to the replay.
- Try this deal again deals the same cards from the start as an ordinary game in the Game Gallery. It counts like any other game.
- Exit replay (the ✕) goes back to your history.
See What counts for how assisted games are scored.
Locked replays
A Locked game was played under an earlier version of its rules. Its moves would no longer mean the same thing, so it can't be replayed or resumed — opening it says Recorded on an earlier version of this game — can't be replayed. Try this deal again still deals you the same cards. See Updates.
What usually goes wrong
The list is empty. No games yet. Every game you play is saved here to watch back. — or, with filters on, No games match these filters. Use Clear filters.
"Couldn't start a new game." Resume from here starts a new game, and new games need bandwidth sharing on. See How CardTray is funded.
"That game is no longer in your history." It was removed after the list loaded — for example, a game abandoned before any move is discarded. Go back to your history.
Continue Game — the tool this page is about
Close the window mid-game and come back to the exact move. Watch any finished game back at up to 8×, scrub to any point, and take over from there. Learn more about the Continue Game.
