Forty Thieves
How to Play Robie Solitaire

A two-deck game where the tableau begins empty and fills as you play, giving you maximum flexibility from the start since you can place any card from the stock or waste to open up space. The goal: Build all cards onto the eight foundations, each building upward in suit from Ace to King.
Setup
- Use two full decks (104 cards).
- Eight foundation piles begin empty.
- Ten tableau piles start empty with no cards dealt.
- All 104 cards form the stock.
How to play
- Build foundation piles upward in suit from Ace to King.
- Click the stock to deal one card at a time to the waste pile.
- In the tableau, build downward in the same suit; only the top card of each pile can move.
- Play cards from the waste or tableau to the foundations or tableau.
- Empty tableau piles accept any card, giving you a place to temporarily store cards.
- When a card can't be built on the tableau, it automatically moves to the foundations if allowed by its suit—you can adjust this behavior in Settings.
How to win
Objective: Build all cards onto the eight foundations, each building upward in suit from Ace to King.
You win when all 104 cards are built onto the eight foundations. You're stuck when the stock is gone and no moves remain.
Tips
- Use the empty tableau piles to your advantage—they're easier to fill early, giving you flexibility as more cards emerge.
- Build foundations steadily to free up space in the tableau.
- Only the top card of a tableau pile can ever move, so avoid burying a card you'll need soon under others of the same suit.
