Foundations
How to Play Mount Olympus Solitaire

A two-deck game where odd-ranked cards (Ace, 3, 5, 7, 9, Jack, King) build separately from even-ranked cards (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, Queen), creating parallel sequences you must navigate between. The goal: Build all 104 cards onto 16 foundation piles—eight for odd-ranked sequences and eight for even-ranked sequences.
Setup
- Two standard decks are shuffled together (104 cards).
- All Aces are placed in a row as the start of odd-ranked foundation piles (8 piles).
- All 2s are placed in a row as the start of even-ranked foundation piles (8 piles).
- Nine tableau piles are created, each receiving one card face up.
How to play
- Build odd-ranked foundations up by suit in two-rank intervals: Ace, 3, 5, 7, 9, Jack, King (7 cards per pile).
- Build even-ranked foundations up by suit in two-rank intervals: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, Queen, stopping when Queen is reached (6 cards per pile).
- In the tableau, build down by suit in two-rank intervals: a 5♠ goes on a 7♠, a Jack♥ goes on a King♥, etc.
- Move sequences together if each card is two ranks lower in the same suit from the card above it.
- Fill empty tableau piles with any card. When a pile empties, the top card from the stock automatically fills it.
- Click the stock to deal one card to each tableau pile. You get one pass through the stock.
- When a card no longer fits in the tableau, it moves to the foundations automatically (you can adjust this in Settings).
How to win
Objective: Build all 104 cards onto 16 foundation piles—eight for odd-ranked sequences and eight for even-ranked sequences.
You win when all cards are built onto the 16 foundation piles—all odd sequences and all even sequences complete. You're stuck when no more cards can move and you've dealt through the stock.
Tips
- Work both odd and even sequences in the tableau to maintain flexibility and access to foundation cards.
- Two-rank intervals lock cards into alternating patterns—think several moves ahead.
- Plan before each stock deal carefully, since you only get one pass.
