Klondike
How to Play Lady Cadogan Solitaire

A two-deck game with a distinctive dual foundation approach: one foundation builds up in suit from Aces, while the other accumulates complete sequences. The tableau plays like Klondike with cards building down and same-suit sequences moving together.
Setup
- Deal two decks of cards into a 10-pile tableau, with 1 card in the first pile, 2 in the second, continuing to 10 in the last pile
- Only the top card of each pile is face up; the rest are hidden
- Create the left foundation, where each of the 4 piles must start with an Ace of a different suit
- Create the right foundation where complete same-suit runs from Ace to King will go
- The remaining cards form the stock
How to play
- Click the stock to draw one card at a time to the waste pile
- Build the left foundation up from Ace to King in matching suits, one rank at a time (each of the 4 piles starts with a different suit's Ace)
- Build the right foundation with complete sequences—move a full 13-card suit run as a block when available
- In the tableau, build down one rank at any suit (so a 7 of any suit can go on an 8 of any suit)
- Move multiple cards together when they form a same-suit descending sequence
- Place only Kings in empty tableau piles
- Click the empty stock to turn over the waste for unlimited redeals
How to win
Objective: Move all 104 cards to the foundations—fill the left foundation by suit sequences and place complete 13-card runs on the right foundation.
You win when all 104 cards are distributed between the two foundations. You're stuck when the stock and waste are empty and no more moves are available.
Tips
- Focus on building the left foundation steadily while using the right foundation for complete runs
- Expose buried cards in the tableau by planning tableau moves carefully
- Watch for opportunities to move entire sequences together to free up spaces for Kings
