Pairing
How to Play Double Fourteens Solitaire

Clear the board by removing pairs of cards that add up to 14. With two decks, you'll have plenty of opportunities to make matching pairs.
Setup
- All cards are dealt face-up across 18 tableau columns—some columns have more cards than others
- Cards that have nothing on top of them are available to pair
- There's no stock or redeal in this game—just the tableau to work with
How to play
- Identify pairs of uncovered cards whose values add up to 14 (Ace = 1, Jack = 11, Queen = 12, King = 13)
- Drag one card onto its partner to remove both cards from the board
- When a card becomes uncovered after removing others, you can now pair it with its complement
- Keep pairing until you've removed all cards or get stuck
- Empty spaces cannot be refilled—once a column is empty, it stays empty
How to win
Objective: Remove all 104 cards by pairing them so each pair totals 14
You win when all cards are removed. You lose if uncovered cards have no pairs adding to 14.
Tips
- Plan several moves ahead—removing one pair might uncover cards that let you remove multiple others
- Watch for pairs that are buried—exposing them might open up the board
- With two decks, most cards have a partner somewhere, so look carefully
