Baker's Dozen
How to Play Vineyard Solitaire

A patience game with no stock or waste pile—all cards are dealt at once across ten tableau columns. You race to build four foundations while managing alternating color sequences in the tableau.
Setup
- Deal all 52 cards face up across the 10 tableau columns, one card to each pile in turn until the deck runs out—two columns end up with 6 cards and the other eight get 5.
- The four foundation piles start empty; you'll move each Ace to its foundation as you uncover it in the tableau.
- No stock or waste pile—every move must be made between tableau piles or up to the foundations.
How to play
- Build tableau sequences downward in alternating colors: a red 6 goes on a black 7, and so on.
- Move only the top card from each tableau pile; you cannot move sequences together.
- Fill empty tableau spaces with any available card (the top card from another tableau pile).
- Cards that can no longer be built upon in the tableau move to the foundations automatically.
- You can change this auto-move behavior in Settings if you prefer to move foundation cards yourself.
- Expose buried cards by strategically moving top cards to build tableau sequences.
- Plan your moves carefully since every column is visible from the start—you can see all options available.
How to win
Objective: Move all 52 cards to four foundations, building each from Ace up to King in the same suit.
You win when all four foundations reach King in their suit. You're stuck if the tableau locks up and cards remain unplayed.
Tips
- Look for long alternating sequences to expose critical cards early in the game.
- Empty tableau spaces are powerful tools—save them for moments when you need to unlock a valuable card.
- This game rewards careful planning; with all cards visible, you can look several moves ahead before committing.
