How to Play Titan Solitaire

2 min read
The opening deal of Titan Solitaire, laid out on a green felt table.

A challenging two-deck variant where eight tableau piles start with three face-up cards each. Build tableau runs in opposite colors, and cards move up to the foundations automatically once they're free to go.

Setup

  1. Eight foundation piles start empty, ready to receive Aces.
  2. Eight tableau piles are each dealt three face-up cards from a two-deck (104-card) deck.
  3. The stock contains the remaining cards to be dealt.

How to play

  • Build tableau piles downward in alternating colors (e.g., 10♠ on J♥).
  • Move sequences together if each card is one rank lower in an alternating color.
  • Fill empty tableau piles with any card or sequence.
  • Cards move to the foundations automatically once no other card could be built on them.
  • Click the stock to deal one row of eight cards—one card to each tableau pile.
  • You get only one pass through the stock with no redeal.

How to win

Objective: Build each of the eight foundations from Ace to King in the same suit, using both decks.

You win when all eight foundations are complete using both decks. You're stuck when no moves remain and the stock is exhausted.

Tips

  • Plan several moves ahead—with limited stock deals, every decision matters.
  • Try to empty at least one tableau pile to create flexibility for maneuvering.
  • Build alternating sequences strategically to expose the cards you need most.
