Klondike
How to Play Whitehead Solitaire

This tableau is dealt entirely face up, so you can see every card before you begin. Placing cards is more forgiving than standard Klondike, but moving a stack together only works when it's a run of one suit.
Setup
- The tableau is dealt in a pyramid: one card to the first pile, two to the second, up to seven to the seventh pile
- All cards are face up from the start
- Four foundation piles start empty—an Ace placed there begins each one
- A stock pile remains to the side; click it to draw additional cards
How to play
- Click the stock to draw one card at a time into the waste pile
- Build the foundations from Ace up to King in the same suit
- In the tableau, place a card one rank lower and the same color on any card (a black 6 on a black 7)
- Move sequences together if the cards are all in the same suit and in descending order
- Empty tableau piles can receive any card or sequence
- Cards that can no longer be built on in the tableau automatically move to the foundations—you can change this in the settings if you prefer
- You can only go through the stock once
How to win
Objective: Move every card to the four foundation piles, building each from Ace to King in the same suit.
You win when all cards are in the foundations. You're stuck when no more moves remain and the stock is exhausted.
Tips
- With all cards visible, plan several moves ahead to avoid trapping cards
- Prioritize uncovering buried cards in deep piles
- Same-color building means you can't hide mistakes as easily—think carefully before committing moves
