Baker's Dozen
How to Play Morehead Solitaire

This single-deck game plays like Somerset but with a twist: you build on the tableau into a different suit rather than a matching color, moving only one card at a time as you work toward the foundations. The goal: Build all 52 cards onto four foundation piles in suit from Ace to King.
Setup
- One standard deck is shuffled (52 cards).
- Four foundation piles are placed to collect cards by suit.
- Ten tableau piles are created, all cards face up: piles 1 through 7 receive 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 cards, and piles 8, 9, and 10 each receive 8 cards.
How to play
- Move cards from the tableau to the foundations, building up in suit from Ace to King.
- In the tableau, build down by rank onto any card of a different suit, regardless of color (an 8♠ can take a 7♣, 7♦, or 7♥, but not another 7♠).
- You can only move the top card of each pile—you cannot move sequences or multiple cards together.
- Fill empty tableau piles with any card.
- When a card no longer fits in the tableau, it moves to the foundations automatically (you can adjust this in Settings).
How to win
Objective: Build all 52 cards onto four foundation piles in suit from Ace to King.
You win when all cards are built onto the four foundations. You're stuck when top cards won't fit on their destinations and no empty piles are available.
Tips
- Plan several moves ahead since you can only move one card at a time.
- Create empty tableau piles strategically to hold cards temporarily while you maneuver others.
- Look for sequences of different-suit moves that will free up buried cards.
