Foundations
How to Play Deuces Solitaire

Build up matching suit sequences on eight foundation piles from Twos to Aces in this accessible two-deck game. With only 10 tableau piles and one pass through the stock, careful planning makes the difference between victory and defeat.
Setup
- Shuffle two full decks together.
- Deal eight Twos to start the eight foundation piles.
- Deal 1 card to each of 10 tableau piles—these are your working area.
- Place the remaining 86 cards in the stock and an empty waste pile beside it.
How to play
- Click the stock to deal one card at a time to the waste pile. You can play the top card of the waste to a foundation or tableau pile.
- On the foundations, play cards in ascending order (Two, Three, Four... up to Ace) in the same suit.
- On the tableau, play cards in descending order (King, Queen, Jack... down to Ace) in the same suit. You can only move one card at a time.
- When a tableau pile becomes empty, fill it with any available card to keep your options open.
- Once you've cycled through the entire stock, no redeal is allowed—so use your moves wisely.
- The game automatically moves cards to the foundations when they can't be used elsewhere in the tableau (you can adjust this behavior in Settings).
How to win
Objective: Move all 104 cards to the foundations, building each suit up from the starting Two to the Ace.
You win when all cards reach the foundations with the Ace on top of each pile. You lose when the stock runs out and no more moves are possible.
Tips
- Expose buried cards first before moving to foundations when tableau moves are available.
- Keep empty tableau piles in reserve for strategic control of movement.
- With only one pass through the stock, cards in the waste pile that can't play are gone forever—plan accordingly.
