Scorpion
How to Play Triple Scorpion Solitaire

An extreme version of Scorpion where only complete 13-card runs move to foundations and foundations are hidden. Skillful play and long-term planning are essential to create the exact runs you need.
Setup
- Thirteen tableau piles start with a custom dealing pattern: the first 6 piles get 12 cards each (5 face-down, 7 face-up), and the last 7 piles get 12 cards each (all face-up)
- Twelve hidden foundation piles wait for complete runs to be moved to them
- There is no separate stock; all cards start in the tableau
How to play
- On the tableau, place cards one rank lower in the exact same suit (a 6 of hearts on a 7 of hearts)
- You can move any group of face-up cards together, even if they're not in order—only the bottom card of the group must fit where it lands
- As face-up cards move away, face-down cards underneath are automatically revealed
- When you complete a run from King down to Ace of a single suit, move that entire run to a foundation pile as a group
- Empty tableau piles can hold only a King
- Use the tableau strategically to arrange suits into complete sequences
How to win
Objective: Gather all 13 cards of each suit into complete runs, then move each finished run to the hidden foundations.
You win when all 12 complete suits have been moved to the foundations. You're stuck when no cards can move and you can't form any complete runs.
Tips
- Think several moves ahead—incomplete runs are useless, so plan how to gather each suit together
- Expose face-down cards strategically to find the missing cards you need for each run
- Use empty tableau piles sparingly; they're valuable for maneuvering partial runs into final position
