Scorpion
How to Play Double Scorpion Solitaire

A two-deck variant of Scorpion where you build down in suit within the tableau and move complete sequences to hidden foundations when a full suit from King to Ace is ready. The goal: Build all eight suits completely in the tableau (King down to Ace in each suit), then move each complete sequence to the foundations.
Setup
- All 104 cards are dealt in ten columns from the start: the first four columns have 4 face-down cards topped with 7 face-up, the fifth has 4 face-down topped with 6 face-up, and the last five columns are 10 face-up cards each
- The foundation piles are hidden and only receive complete, intact sequences
- No cards are dealt to a separate stock—the game begins with a full tableau
How to play
- Move any exposed card or group of face-up cards onto another column, building down in the same suit
- When you move a group, keep all the cards together and place the bottom card onto a legal destination
- If a face-down card becomes the top of its column, it flips over automatically
- You can move unsequenced groups of face-up cards—only the bottom card must fit the destination
- Once a column holds a complete 13-card sequence (King through Ace in one suit), move that whole sequence as a group onto a foundation pile
- Empty columns can only be filled with a King or a group headed by a King
How to win
Objective: Build all eight suits completely in the tableau (King down to Ace in each suit), then move each complete sequence to the foundations.
All eight foundation sequences are complete (each showing a full suit from King to Ace). You're stuck if no legal moves remain.
Tips
- Expose face-down cards early to maximize your options
- Avoid creating blocks where an Ace is trapped under cards of a different suit—buried Aces prevent completion
- Build full sequences methodically; moving unsequenced cards can help you arrange the exact runs you need
