Foundations
How to Play Racing Aces Solitaire

A fast-paced game where four foundation types race in different directions—Aces up, Sixes down, Sevens up, and Kings down—while you feed them from a single-pass stock, a waste pile, and three long reserve piles. The goal: Move every card from all three decks onto the foundations.
Setup
- Use three full decks (156 cards).
- Six tableau piles get one card each, and three reserve piles get 13 cards each, all dealt face up; the rest of the deck stays in the stock.
- The Aces Foundation (4 piles) builds up from Ace to King, and the Kings Foundation (4 piles) builds down from King through Ace and back around to King, both in any suit.
- The Sixes Foundation (4 piles) builds down from 6 to Ace, and the Sevens Foundation (4 piles) builds up from 7 to King—each of these piles holds exactly 6 or 7 cards, in any suit.
- Tableau piles hold only one card at a time and are automatically refilled from the stock when emptied.
How to play
- Only the top card of a tableau pile, a reserve pile, or the waste can be played—cards under it stay put until it's their turn.
- Each foundation type has its own direction (Aces up, Sixes down, Sevens up, Kings down) and ignores suit.
- Click the stock to deal one card to the waste pile.
- Play cards from the waste, tableau, or reserve onto any foundation pile that will accept them.
- Empty tableau piles accept any single card from the waste, tableau, or reserve.
- The stock deals just once with no redeal, so use each card thoughtfully.
How to win
Objective: Move every card from all three decks onto the foundations.
You win when every card from all three decks reaches the foundations. You're stuck when no legal moves remain among the stock, waste, tableau, and reserve.
Tips
- Clear a tableau card away whenever you can—each empty spot can catch any card from the waste or reserve, giving you flexibility.
- Track which ranks each foundation needs next, especially the Sixes and Sevens piles, since they finish after just 6 or 7 cards.
