How to Play Agnes Sorel Solitaire

Similar to Agnes Bernauer but designed more like Spider: the random base rank starts the foundations, and tableau piles build in the same suit color instead of alternating colors. The goal: Build all 52 cards onto four foundations, each starting with the random base rank and climbing in suit.
Setup
- Four foundations (base rank determined randomly at game start)
- Seven tableau piles dealt in pyramid fashion (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 cards), all face up
- A stock pile
How to play
- The base rank is random—the first card dealt to a foundation shows which rank all foundations will start with
- Click the stock to deal one card onto each tableau pile
- Build foundations upward in suit: from the base rank, wrapping around (13 wraps to 1)
- Build tableau piles downward in the same color (e.g., red 6 on red 7)
- Move groups of cards together if they follow the same-color pattern
- An empty tableau pile accepts any card
- Cards automatically move to the foundation when they can't be built on any other cards—you can change this behavior in Settings
- Work through the stock once—no redeal
How to win
Objective: Build all 52 cards onto four foundations, each starting with the random base rank and climbing in suit.
You win when all 52 cards are on the foundations. You're stuck when cards remain and no legal moves exist.
Tips
- Track the base rank carefully—it determines your foundation sequences
- Same-color building is more restrictive than alternating colors, so plan ahead
- Empty tableau spaces are flexible—use them to temporarily hold cards blocking progress
