Spider
How to Play Spider Three Deck Solitaire

This variant scales Spider up to three shuffled decks and twelve tableau piles, giving you a longer haul toward filling twelve suit-ordered foundations. The goal: Remove all 156 cards to the foundations by completing twelve 13-card runs.
Setup
- Three standard decks shuffle together (156 cards)
- 12 tableau piles deal with only the top card face up: first 6 piles get 5 cards each (4 face down, 1 face up), remaining 6 piles get 4 cards each (3 face down, 1 face up)
- Remaining cards form the stock
- 12 foundation piles wait empty
How to play
- On the tableau, place any card one rank lower than the card below it, any suit
- Move groups of cards together only if they form a sequence in the same suit
- Click the stock at any time to deal one card onto each tableau pile, as long as no pile is empty
- Build complete 13-card sequences on the tableau, then move them to an empty foundation pile yourself
- Manage the larger tableau to expose and organize sequences effectively
How to win
Objective: Remove all 156 cards to the foundations by completing twelve 13-card runs.
You win when all twelve foundation piles are complete with 13-card runs. This extended version is challenging even for experienced players.
Tips
- With more piles and cards, patience in building suit sequences is even more critical
- Focus on exposing face-down cards in the tableau systematically
- Plan moves that open multiple paths rather than committing to single sequences
