Pairing
How to Play Doublet Cell Solitaire

A pairing game with four temporary cells (like FreeCell) to help maneuver. Remove pairs of cards with matching rank and same color by dragging one onto the other.
Setup
- Four cell spaces hold individual cards temporarily—use them to expose buried pairs
- Eight tableau piles hold the remaining cards
- Four foundation piles can be used for sequential building if helpful (building up in suit from any starting rank)
How to play
- Only the top card of each tableau pile is available for pairing
- Drag one card onto another card of the same rank and color to remove both cards
- Move any card to an empty cell for temporary storage, freeing up the card below
- You can use foundation piles to build sequences up in suit (same suit, any starting rank, wrapping from King back around to Ace) to help expose buried pairs
- Once removed, pairs go to a discard pile and stay gone
- Empty tableau piles cannot be refilled
How to win
Objective: Remove all 52 cards by pairing them off: each pair must have the same rank and the same color (both red or both black).
All 52 cards are removed as pairs. You're stuck if unmatched pairs remain on top of tableau piles.
Tips
- Use cells wisely—they're most valuable when exposing a matching pair beneath a blocking card
- Look ahead before moving cells; removing one pair often exposes another
- Build foundation sequences to temporarily park cards and access buried pairs
