Forty Thieves
How to Play Double Rail Solitaire

A two-deck game with a compact five-pile tableau where sequences can mix suits and whole runs can be relocated together. Work through a single pass of the stock to clear every card to the foundations.
Setup
- Eight foundation piles start empty—you'll place Aces there as they become available
- Five tableau piles form the main playing area, with one card dealt to each
- A stock pile holds the remaining cards; click it to deal one card at a time to the waste
How to play
- Move cards from the waste or tableau to foundations (building up in suit from Ace to King) or onto other tableau piles (building down, any suit)
- You can move entire sequences together when building in the tableau, as long as each card is one rank lower than the one it covers
- Use empty tableau spaces to temporarily park cards—they accept any card or run
- Deal from the stock by clicking it; once depleted, the game ends (no redeal)
- Cards automatically move to the foundations once no other card can be built on them—this behavior is adjustable in Settings
How to win
Objective: Move all 104 cards to the eight foundations, building each suit from Ace to King.
You win when all cards reach the foundations. The game is stuck if cards remain but no legal moves exist.
Tips
- Expose buried cards early by building down in the tableau before committing cards to the foundations
- Since there's no redeal, be strategic with your stock—avoid burying high cards in the waste
- Create empty tableau spaces for maneuvering when sequences become tangled
